Susan King Shaw graduated from Colgate University with Honors in philosophy and religion and received her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she was Notes and Comments Editor of the Connecticut Law Review and a winner of the Loiselle moot court competition.

Attorney Shaw is admitted to practice before the Connecticut Superior Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She is a member of the New Haven County and Connecticut Bar Associations, the New Haven Bar Association Family Law Committee and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.
